Volunteers are important to us

PSPC is the certified center in the state of Colorado that answers the National Lifeline Suicide Prevention Hotline. In 2010, PSPC talked with callers from both National Suicide Prevention Hotlines, (1-800-SUICIDE, 1-800-273-TALK and our local suicide hotline, 719-544-1133) for a total of 17,304 calls last year!

Because of our high rate of calls we are consistently looking for volunteers to staff our hotline. Volunteers staffing the crisis line undergo 40 hours of in-depth, interactive training on crisis intervention counseling. Volunteers are asked to commit to one year of service. Please call our office for volunteer services requirements.
